Morion Helmet

The Morion, an evolution of the earlier Kettle Hat, was popular during the 16th and early 17th centuries. It usually featured a “comb”, or crest, which was intended to help in deflecting blows and strengthening the helmet, though on later models this feature was often exaggerated as a decorative feature. The Morion, though often associated with Spanish conquistadors, was common among foot soldiers throughout Europe. Crafted in 16 gauge steel, lined n’ ready for use.
