Deadeye be a rounded wood block encircled by an iron band and having receive the lanyard that is used to set up shrouds and stays. This part be a very difficult part to make.  Designed to use 5mm line, but you can drill it out if you need a larger hole.  You will need one individual deadeye as well as one deadeye assembly to make one set.
• Comes in two sizes: 1.5 inches and 2.5 inches
